NOS genuine GM power steering gear housing end plug o-ring seals, part number 5686577, which was superseded by part number 7812122 in Feb 1972. Part number 7817485 was introduced by the 1975 model year, and by early 1977, 7812122 was discontinued, leaving dealers to use 7817485 instead.5686577 seems to be when GM packaged these o-rings as a set of 2, while 7812122 looks like they packaged each o-ring individually. 7817485 was a kit that included a pair of the o-rings, plus 2 of the 5686814 snap rings to hold the plug and 0-rings in.
O-ring diameter is 3-1/2".

I don't know what happened with Buick from 1970 to 1974, but there simply are NO listings in several of my parts books for seals in these years. Not a different number, just no listings at all. Pontiac had almost the same phenomenon. My 1971 Pontiac book shows no listings for ANY 1970-1971 cars. Yet the 1975 Pontiac book includes those years and all the way through 1975. My guess would be that these seals fit all 1970 - 1974 Buicks, but that's only a guess.

2. Payment is expected within 3 days. After 8 days, I will file with eBay to have my auction fees refunded. If there is a problem with 3 days, please let me know, as I am not unreasonable, and I know that things happen. Just be aware that having been on eBay full-time for several years has already afforded me an opportunity to hear a lot of "creative" stories.
