Lovely antique leather travel sewing case. The case is stamped JC Vickery of Regent Street. The sewing items are most likely by John James of Redditch. Probably dates to early 20th century.

This is in excellent condition. The interior is also leather. The gold metal fastener lock is in good working order.

Contains several packets of John James needles of different sizes plus darning needles, scissors and other haberdashery items. The thimble is sterling silver dated 1938, Birmingham and is made by Gomme. Probably not part of the original.

This is a family piece, I've had it years but it sits in a drawer unused. I need to find it an appreciative home as it really does deserve it. You could still use it today as it folds up into a good small size that can be put in a suitcase.

The overall dimensions when folded are 13.5cm x 13.5cm x 6cm
