Antique Wooden Hofinger 'Succes'. Plays easily at modern pitch.

F Hofinger, Bruxelles. Sounding length 59.5 cm.  Plays comfortably at 440-442. Likely grenadilla, no cracks. Missing silver end ferrule, which is easy to replace using parts from other instruments. Could do with a repad, but it does play. A serial number is faintly carved on to the back, which can be sanded and refinished.

This is a flute with huge potential. The right owner will wish to restore it and enjoy the wonderful sound for which wooden Hofingers are renowned. Good examples are hard to come by, especially playing at modern pitch.
