This 1882 shield nickel 5 cent piece from the Philadelphia Mint is a great addition to any coin collection. The coin is a circulated, ungraded business strike type and is composed of copper. It features the image of a shield on the obverse side with a wreath around the rim. The reverse side of the coin features the number 5 with a large "C" around it and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" around the rim. The coin has never been certified and is a variety without rays.
