For sale is my much prized MGC GT, finished in the ultimate spec of British Racing Green with wire wheels and original Black Leather interior with white piping.

I have owned it for four years and there are six previous owners on the log book.

It was resprayed shortly before I bought it, but original chrome work was retained, leaving a very pleasing patina with a deep shine to the paintwork but a very original overall appearance.

The interior is much the same, it is worn in the expected places, the piping on the drivers seat is coming away in one place, but it just looks and feels ‘right’ for a nearly sixty year old car. The dashboard has been treated to a walnut veneer to give a more classic appearance. Carpets etc again are very presentable but with signs of wear. On the down side the gauges in the non original centre console are not connected, and although there is a radio / cassette player installed it does not currently work.

Mechanically the engine is very smooth as expected with a six cylinder lump, it has never let me down and pulls well in all gears. It was supplied new as a non overdrive vehicle.

There is a whole folder of history and invoices, key ones being:

2000:  New petrol tank
2006:  New complete clutch (56000 miles)
2010:  Alternator refurb
2012:  Front wheel bearings, king pins, brake pads etc
2022:  Clutch slave cylinder replaced
12 volt battery conversion

There are numerous invoices for routine servicing and old mot certificates, and a fuel cat was installed in the tank which reputedly improves fuel efficiency and economy.

I don’t believe the car has ever been fully rebuilt, there is evidence and receipts for welding repairs to patch the chassis over the years, and it is likely that further works will be required as time goes on, but it is a very usable Classic that would stand out in any show field, and is priced to reflect that there are improvements that could be made. Or just use and enjoy as it is, there are too many fully restored show cars out there!

Viewings are very welcome and encouraged just north of Bristol, I will try and answer any questions but the best would be for you to come and look at it.

Only for sale as it gets little use as I have another MG that has been undergoing work over the last four years, it is back on the road and I can only drive one! Well known car in local MG Car Club circles, its previous owner also being an enthusiastic club member.

As usual, car can be collected after full cleared payment has been received. I may be able to help with local delivery. I am not looking for any part exchange or swap. Genuine buyers only please!
