What a COOL FIND! At a great estate sale loaded with stuff from the 40s and 50s.  Old farm house and barn.  This was buried in a closet -- I had seen one identical in the barn all completely beat up and thought how cool would this have been if it was in better shape.  Made my way into the bedroom closet and behold -- there it was.  Identical cap squashed completely flat like a pancake under a bunch of other hats.

This hat is in great shape, with only a faint sign of wear along the front of the inside brim.  Might just be the way it was folded.  The hat is VERY warm and totally useful.  It deserves to see the sun again -- maybe on YOUR head.
