I bought 2 of these after a trip to Japan, i decided to keep one as it functions the same as the uk model except for the following...

speech announcement is in Japanese (never bothered me as i would never use it)

For some reason i cant get the speaker to power the radio, this to me is not important as i power the radio from 12v from the lead supplied (the power supply is there but if you want to use that then you will need a inverter to change the voltage (maybe this is why i cant get the lead to power the radio?) anyhow its not important as all the menus are in english and it powers fine with 12v and the speaker works great !! you just plug it in as normal.

I sold one and now letting mine go as I have purchased a Aor-ar 5700D

I power it by 12v lead supplied to my psu so no voltage converter needed.

Menus all in English and performance is the same as the UK model. THERE IS NO FREQUENCY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS AND A UK MODEL ONLY SPEECH IS IN JAPANESE IF YOU ARE BLIND BUT I HAVE NEVER REQUIRED TO USE IT
