Antique Civil War captain's memoirs in overall very good to near fine condition. Front endpaper is signed and inscribed by the author on the left hand side and appears to have been inscribed by the recipient on the right hand front endpaper also with a brief added notation on a separate piece of paper (probably also by the recipient) stating the the book was written in 1886 and published in 1926. Exterior of the book is overall clean with some very minor age, use or shelf wear to the covers and spine and very gentle rubs to the upper and lower ends of the spine and outer corner edges of the boards. Interior of the book is very clean. Book's binding is tight and the book is structurally very well intact. Book is complete with all pages present and none coming loose, detached or missing.

Book totals 244 pages, measures approximately 9 3/8 x 6 3/8 x 3/4 inches and weighs about 1 1/4 pounds.
