This chain necklace has been in my family for a while, and no one knows exactly where it came from. It's in an old Macy's box and believed to be from the 1970s. The piece is an rope/lariat length gold-plated chain necklace that is unsigned and unmarked. At approximately 52.5" in length (26.75" when lying flat and closed), it's an enormous piece (that weighs 3 oz!) that makes a definite statement. Spring clasp. There is some texturing of the metal on the backside of the necklace, but the front is devoid of this. I don't know what the name for this style of chain would be, but this one, so far as I know, was never worn and has just been passed amongst my family since the 1970s.
