Fernando Botero Angulo (1932-2023) is a figurative artist and sculptor in Colombia. Born in Medellin, his iconic style, also known as the “zombie”, depicts people who are fat and big, have a fleshy texture, and have a sense of criticism and humor.

The author of the Bronze Fernando Botero Horse Sculpture is considered to be the most recognized and influential living artist in Latin America, and his works of art could be found in very prominent places around the world, such as Park Avenue in New York City and the Champs Elysées in Paris.

This whimsical proportion is reflected in his other bronze man and animal sculptures. Botello’s monumental public sculptures could be seen on the streets of New York and Paris. His depiction of the obesity of the character has become his iconic style and is immediately considered to be the creation of Botero around the world.
