All my specimens are sourced from sustainable farms in South American and Asia. The local villagers grow and sell insects in order to preserve their land in the natural rainforest. This is one of the few ways that stops deforestation for plantations such as palm oil.

In the wild approximately 5-7% of all eggs survive to become butterflies.

In captivity farmers have a 70-80% success rate. They are able to perpetuate life cycles and take nothing for the wild. In many cases imperfect butterflies are released into the wild and increase the local butterfly population.
