I am offering a pair of the Classic Audiophile, Open Back HD 520 Headphones. With a 300 Ohm Impedance and relatively low sensitivity of 94Db at 1mW, they will give their Best with a Good, Powerful Desktop Amp, as they require a generous Voltage swing and good Current capability.
Given what they need, these will rival or even surpass many modern designs.
They are capable of impressive Speed,Transparency and Soundstaging, just shy of their "big brothers" HD 540 I/II or HD 560 I/II.
Simply put, they will offer over 90% of the the latter's performance in those areas, and perhaps even better in others. In fact, I found them far preferable to the famous HD 600/650 line. They sound more Balanced and less Coloured than these.

Notice: To my knowledge, Sennheiser no longer carry replacement parts for this Model (both MK1 and MK2). But by using its Original Plastic Mounting Rings, they will allow for Ear Pad "rolling" once the Original Pads become unusable.
