About this vehicle

For sale is a lot 9 of vintage scooters. Some run some are projects. For almost all of these scooters I have manuals that I will provide to the buyer. Spare parts I have will go with the lot. Everything from spare cable to extra rims and tires. If you are interested in one or two scooters I am willing to sell individually but I rather see them go as a whole.

What you will get is as follows:

1. A very rare 1962/63 Rex Monaco. Only 250 were made and imported to the USA through Califonia. This one comes with the original tool kit and has the original rubber floor boards in tact! 339 origial miles on the CEV speedometer. Both, front and rear lenses are in great shape. All original paint.

2. Two Argyle scooters: One Arglye scooter is NOS, it hasn’t been drilled out for assembly yet! The other is all together and badged as a stevens. I owned five of these so I never had a need to get this one running but these little 2 stroke engines are easy to work on and should not be too much hassle to get it fired up. The NOS one might be your only chance to ever get an original that has never been put together from factory.

3. Three German NSU Quickly Mopeds: Two are completely assembled. One needs to be assembled as can be seen in the pictures. The green one with white wall tires runs and drives but leaks some oil so need gaskets or seals need to be done eventually. The other green one has been sitting for years and I do not know what it needs to fire up. The Third one is a project or great to have for spare parts. I have some spares that will go with this lot too. These little mopeds turn heads everywhere you go and are a pleasure to ride.

4. Triumph Tina: This little gem just needs the wiring harness to be finished up. Engine was rebuild with new seals and gaskets. I have acquired a front fender (plastic Repop), new bowden cables, spare rings, and a bunch of other parts. I have spent three years and a few thousand dollars to track down almost every part to make this complete. Many cool features including a speedometer that runs counterclockwise.

5. TWN Contessa: This is big scooter that stands out from the rest. Missing only a few bits like a panel nut and battery door. Has the rear luggage mount and spare rim. Original paint and fabric on the seat. Four speed trans and a speedometer that also runs counter clockwise. I have a paper copy of the original TWN Manual!

6. Valmobile: a 1962/63 Suitcase Scooter that was designed to fold up and go into the back of a car or airplane. Made in japan. Comes with one original Toyo tire (front) and a rare battery box. Comes with a copy of the original manual and some advisements. I have nos tail lights, upgraded the front light to LED, and installed a new ignition switch. The stator was sent out and had new points, condsensor put in, the ignition coil was redone, and tested. New rubber suspension for the rear. Lots of work done just needs a little more time to finish the project.

The pictures will tell the rest of the story, what you see is what you will get (and then some). If you have any questions please ask before you buy. Also, check out my other listings for more interesting items.

Thank you I am also open to trades on pre 1940 motorcycles

Seller's Notes
