This a working and keeping good time vintage 1900 Waltham Pocket Watch. This watch is a 16s, 15j, Grade No. 620, Model 1899, Open Face, over a 120+ year old nice working watch. The movement has amazing detail work that you very rarely see anything comparable. Besides having this fancy detail, the movement is very clean looking and has a great motion to it as well. This watch has a pendant setting and winding, with both working like designed. The dial is a white, single sunk with black Arabic numerals, black minute markers and red five minute numbers on the outer edge. I have only noticed one tight hairline on the outer edge between the 3 & 4 of the dial. With great, straight and no rust hands, which have that great blue color and the thin style, just help this watch make it that more amazing. The crystal is very clear and clean visually and only has minimal marks from being used. The case is a Philadelphia Watch Case Co. Brand in a Silverode type case. Both the front and back covers screw on and off as designed with a tight fit and the numbers all match as well. The back cover doesn’t have any dents or dings but it has one small scuff spot on the edge and the rest of it just has typical marks from being used. There is a very nice silver chain with clips on both ends with a total length of 11-3/8”. The Bow is also in good condition, which still has a good, tight fit and doesn’t flop around so it holds its position well. There is also a leather pocket that I keep it in and it can be used to carry it in as well. This is an amazing watch for the age of a 124+ years old. It’s always kept very good time for me but I have never had it checked for its accuracy or serviced. I can’t find any one to just even clean and check these older watches anymore. I’m not a watch expert or obviously not a service shop either. I have just always had a pocket watch since I was a kid and now I have too many watches so I’m trying to keep just a certain type.
