This is an antique serving bowl made by Carl Tielsch in the late Victorian era. The marks indicate that it was made from 1887-early 1900s. It features an embossed design of curlicues and floral motifs, hand painted in green and with a gold drawn central design and gilding throughout the piece.

It measures 12 1/2" from tip of handle to the other tip; and 11" across in diameter. It is 2 1/2" in height at the tallest point by the handles.

I see no damage to this piece in terms of chips or cracks; there is some expected wear to the gold gilding and the paint here and there.

There are three sets of marks underneath - the eagle CT mark in green, a lighter green color Made in Germany mark, and in red the number 10122 and the letter A - this last mark may refer to the production number and/or the decorator's designation.
