Complete two volume set. Later (mid-Victorian) half calf leather bindings with marbled boards. Marbled page edges and endpapers. Spines with five raised bands. Heavy rubbing to bindings, wear to corners of boards. Lacking all labels to spines. Good solid bindings. A few small marks and spots of foxing but text is in very clean overall condition. Inked notes to final blanks in both volumes, small clipping pasted to final blank of Volume I. Bookplate to front pastedown endpaper in both volumes (Richard B. Martin) with Martin's pencilled name to verso of front free endpaper in Volume I, and pencilled note below: ' Bought at the sale of the Rev. Vaughan Thomas's Books in Oxford - Feby 1859'. ESTC: T136904. Overall Condition is Good
