These two pieces of Rose Quartz were in Dad's bin of rough material to turn into cabochons when he had time or desire.  (Of course, he could never have had enough time for all the material he had collected over the years.)  They were with others in a box marked "Agate" but that doesn't mean that everything in the box was agate.  Things had a way of getting set into piles when we cleaned out his workshop.  It is clear that they are not part of the same piece of rough material, but they are both Rose Quartz.  Please look carefully at the photos for the weights and sizes of each piece.

I took the photos with the rock both dry and wet.  The photo on wood grain shows it dry.  The photos in/with my aluminum pie tin show it wet.

With his PhD in mineralogy, my father loved to collect rocks.  He loved cutting and faceting stones and turning them into simple jewelry.  Since he has now passed away I'm tasked with finding his treasures a new home.  I've pulled from a variety of his drawers/boxes to give a sampling of his collection. There is much more to come!  I'll be posting more of my father's rock collections (rough material, cut stones, pendants, mineral specimens, and other rock related items) off and on for months so please visit my store and make it one of your favorites, then check in often to see what new items are listed.  I try to list new items for auction every Tuesday and items to "Buy It Now" as I have time.

I will gladly combine shipping for purchases made on the same day.  If you win more than one auction please request an invoice so I can adjust the shipping costs before you pay, although I've tried to set it up so the weights of the items will determine the final cost of postage.  Due to my one day turnaround policy once you pay for the items I cannot hold items for you to have me ship later, so try to buy what you want on the same day - that way I can get you the best shipping costs possible. Thanks!
