11 M KVADRAT FEBRIK ARDA 0201 FROM FRONT DESIGN FURNITURE FABRIC

Arda, designed by Swedish design studio Front for Kvadrat, is a knitted furniture fabric that mimics complex natural shapes, textures, surfaces and colors found deep in the wilderness. Arda's tapestry-like expression changes to reflect the environment. Arda is mainly made from natural wool – a renewable raw material – using an innovative production process. This process reduces water consumption by 80 to 90%. Arda is suitable for upholstered furniture and vertical applications. Therefore, it is ideal for both commercial and private use.

FRONT / SWEDEN

Front is a Swedish design group led by Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren. Their work is based on collaborative discussions, explorations and experiments and they collaborate on all projects, from the initial idea to the final product. Her works often tell the viewer a story about the design process, materials or conventions in the design field. They created ever-changing interiors, objects with explosions, robot furniture and a range of furniture inspired by their fascination with magic.

Work from Front is part of the permanent collections of many renowned institutions such as the MoMA in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the London Design Museum, the Vitra Design Museum Germany, the M+ Hong Kong, the Rhösska Museet and the National Museum in Stockholm.
