I have for sale a beautiful vintage 1976 Rickenbacker 4001 in a white finish that has aged to a very cool cream color.  Overall the bass is in great shape although the bottom does have some paint that appears to have flaked off (see pics).  Neck plays like a dream and the frets show very little wear.  It was just professionally set up with a set of D’Addario Chromes, so it ready to go right out of the case.

The pickguard was broken in 3 pieces when I got it, so I tried my best to glue it back together. I will include an AllParts replacement guard I purchased and although it isn’t a perfect fit, it does work if you want to change it out.

As far as I can tell everything seems to be original, although I didn’t date the pots. The pickup selector did have a white knob when I got it, so I did switch that out to a normal black one.

Weight is a very manageable 9 lbs, 10 oz and the nut width is 1 11/16”.  Sorry, there is no pickup cover, even though you’d probably take it off right away anyway. Includes the original hardshell case that is a little worn, but all of the latches work.

Shipping cost listed is for continental U.S. only.

Just let me know if you have any additional questions and thanks for looking!
