Offered for sale here is gorgeous Canon Pellix QL SLR camera ensemble; with a SUPER FAST, 58mm F/1.2 a FAST, 50mm F/1.4 prime lens and some other great extras! READ BELOW FOR DETAILS OF THIS MEGA MODERN CLASSIC ENSEMBLE:

INCLUDED IN THIS MODERN CLASSIC CANON PELLIX QL OUTFIT ARE:

*A GORGEOUS, Canon Pellix QL 35mm SLR camera that bears serial number:162026. Its date code that is stamped in its film chamber is I620J517 which indicates that it was made in May 1969. This is a fully operative, modern classic, beauty! The meter is active (it responds to light). There are NONE of the ugly and all too common, "skid marks"( a.k.a. prism mirror silvering deterioration/anomalies) in the viewfinder field of view. This Canon Pellix appears to be fully operative! The meter is active, meaning, it responds to light. It fires on all shutter speeds; the self-timer works; the frame counter works a and the eyepiece shutter opens and closes properly. The meter and the shutter speeds have not been recently professionally checked for accuracy. Since I use a common, 1.5V alkaline battery you may want to compensate by adjusting the ASA film setting to match up with the old 1.35V mercury battery. This Pellix camera comes ready to load and use with a fresh, LR44, 1.5 volt, alkaline battery for the meter. It also has an accessory shoe cover, an old style, "Canon" slip-on body cap and a PC port cap.

* (included, but not pictured) A MAGNIFICENT, "Canon Pellix" black, heavy-duty, leather eveready camera case. It sports a beautiful, chrome, "Pellix" logo on the nose of the case. This is the more scarce, first version of the Canon Pellix eveready camera case. It has the" textured pebble-grain black leather" instead of the latter and more common, high gloss, smooth, black leather case. Other than leather the major difference between the cases is that the high gloss version has a top rear section that is split for fold up opening. This would be ok but when closed the seam at the end of the sides do not close seamlessly and leave gaps when the case is closed. Canon's heavy-duty, leather does not bend enough to conform to the rounded radius of the corners. This included case version uses the conventional design of the eveready camera case. It appears that this version was widely used for the Pellix cameras sold in Japan, but they are much more scarce in the U.S. It accommodates the 58mm f/1.2 lens with room to spare. The case was designed with a pair of cutouts to accommodate tri-rings, on the camera body strap lugs. It is in very nice condition and it provides superb protection!!

* A Canon Booster Meter. The Booster is actually an add-on light meter attaches to the camera and greatly extends its Through The Lens (TTL) light measuring sensitivity to give you accurate exposures in very difficult - - very low light - -exposure conditions. Using ASA 100 film, the booster extends the Light Measuring Range of the PELLIX from EV 11 (1/2 second at f/32) to EV -4.5 (30 seconds at f/1.2). For the more common FT the extension is from EV 11 (1/4 second at f22) to EV -3.5 (15 seconds at f1.2). The Booster connects directly to and uses the CdS photocell in the camera body to determine the correct exposure. The meter locks into the Accessory Shoe on the Pentaprism of the camera. The Booster Cable connects to the camera by removing the camera's battery and inserting the cable into the battery compartment. The camera batter and cover are then transferred into the cable retainer compartment on the booster to illuminate the meter in very dark conditions - - a small red button on the front of the Booster controls the light. The meter function is powered by two #625 batteries. The meter circuit was adjusted at the factory for 1.35 volt mercury batteries, but these can no longer be legally manufactured or sold. I have been using 1.5 volt alkaline cells very successfully, but if you want a 1.3 volt direct replacement, you can use a #625 Wein Cell (Air-Zinc) available cheaply here on eBay. The dial on the right side of the meter (looking from the rear of the camera) perform ON/OFF and Battery Check functions. The Large Exposure Time Dial on the top-center of the meter is use to adjust it to the null point and the reading opposite is the correct exposure time. The Dial is marked: 60 30 15 8 4 2 1 1/2 1/4 1/8 1/15 1/30 1/60 sec. If you are a using either the Canon Pellix or FT and you want great long duration exposures, this is a terrific accessory for this Canon Pellix, particularly when yo are using the two included, FAST lenses.
Usually, the included, eyepiece cover for these units is either missing or its plastic, attachment pins are broken. In this case the cover is complete, without broken pins! This eyepiece cover works like an eyepiece blind, blocking stray light from entering and causing incorrect readings. Also included are its original, "Canon Booster Instructions" ; 15 pages' 5 1/2" x 2 5/8", Printed May 1974, English - Japanese edition. Worn. but complete. Plus it has its original, "Canon", heavy-duty, black leather, "Canon ~ Booster" carrying case.

The seven (7) included CANON lenses are:

* The crown jewel of this Canon Pellix ensemble; a SUPER FAST , "Canon FL 58MM F/1.2 lens that bears serial number: 61670. This lens was released in July 1968; it replaced the FL58mm f/1.2 (released in March 1964) as the lens representative of Canon’s large-aperture SLR lenses. The use of large apertures has become the most widespread in standard lenses used as multi-purpose lenses for general shooting such as landscapes, sport, portraits and close-ups. However, as a result of many years of research and development at Canon, this lens went through optical and design revisions shows striking progress in performance at full aperture. Its optical system takes the 7-element in 5-group structure and 4 elements using new types of glass are appropriately positioned, sufficiently eliminating high-order spherical aberration and field curvature, while also coming close to completely absorbing the inner reflection that tends to occur in large-aperture lenses This lens has one of the highest lens speeds of any of the standard lenses used in single-lens reflex cameras, together with the FL 58mm F1.2 which was already on the market. The lens, belonging to the improved Gauss type, was developed by Canon to complete the series of lenses with higher resolving power and higher contrast. Utilization of four high-index glasses of a new type, together with a new design and positioning of the optical system, has completely eliminated high curvature of field and spherical aberration, resulting in greater center clarity, unusual for a lens with a maximum aperture opening of f/1.2.
This is a super nice, Canon 58mm f1.2 FL mount lens. It is used sometimes now with adapters on mirrorless digital cameras. Very fast and high quality. Glass is bright and clear with no fungus, haze, separation or scratches. Aperture and focus actions are smooth. Comes with its original, metal, slip-on, 58mm, front lens cap and vintage "Canon" BL (bayonet locking) rear lens cap and a "Canon" size C, hard lens case. A nice, vintage, "Canon" 58mm, aluminum rim, UV-1 filter. It shares the same "Canon" S-60 lens hood with the other cited lenses. (S-60 hood details below).
* A FAST, Canon FL 50mm F/1.4 II, normal, prime, lens that bears serial number: 282267. It was introduced in May 1968. This Version II is less common than the first version was designed high performance standard lens replaced the FL50mm f/1.4 (marketed in September, 1966. 6 elements in 5 groups, Gauss type). 8 diaphragm blades.
The Canon guru site, "MIR" cited, "A fast standard lens with a large aperture of f/1.4. Corrections of curvature of field, astigmatism and color aberration are excellent. This lens, which meets- all photographic requirements, is the ultimate in standard lenses." As a result of many years of research and development at Canon, this lens went through optical and design revisions and it shows striking progress in performance at full aperture. This fine example comes with a Hoya 58mm Circular Polarizer filter, a "Canon" 58mm metal, slip-on, metal, front lens cap, a vintage, "Canon" BL (bayonet-locking) rear lens cap and vintage "Canon" BL (bayonet locking) rear lens cap and a "Canon" size C, hard lens case. A "Canon" 58mm, aluminum rim, UV-1 filter. It shares the same "Canon" S-60 lens hood with the other cited lenses. (S-60 hood details below).

*A RARE, Canon FL 55-135mm F/3.5, prime, zoom lens that bears serial number:64157. This lens was the first zoom lens that Canon produced for their still cameras. It shares the same "Canon" S-60 lens hood with the other cited lenses. (S-60 hood details below).

* A Canon FL 100-200mm F/5.6 prime, zoom lens that bears serial number:22248. It has a built-in, retractable, lens hood. It has the "EP" inside of a diamond, which indicates it was purchased at a military Post exchange. I recall seeing the symbol on camera gear, that was for sale, in the PX in South Vietnam. Weight and bulk are among the problems facing a designer of zoom lenses when they extend beyond the 2X zoom ratio. Neither of these are a problem with the increasingly popular 100-200mrn zoom, which is characterized by compactness, short length and light weight. Its optical performance includes a perfect compensation mechanism with an unchanging focal point that maintains stability. Moreover, the highest performance can be expected from this lens because of its convenient and fully automatic diaphragm mechanism. Included are: its "Canon" front and rear lens caps and its dedicated, Canon" black leather, hard lens case that has "Canon FL 100-200mm 1:5.6" stamped on its top. It has a built-in, retractable, lens hood. This specimen is in exceptionally nice shape. Its gold Japanese JMDC inspection sticker is still in place.

* A Canon FL 100mm F/3.5, a mild, telephoto lens that bears serial number:25266. This lens has approximately the same magnification as the human eye. Thus, it is very convenient and is ideal for taking natural snapshots on the street or for portraiture. It has long been a popular lens among camera fans for its sharpness. The "100mm" is so highly reputed that it is "associated only with Canon'' among Camera fans. This small-size, lightweight, easy-to-use, superb lens is constantly used by many photographers. Included with this lens are its Canon front and rear lens caps, a Hoya 48mm UV filter, A Canon black leather, hard, lens case "H" and a Canon T-50-2 dedicated metal lens hood.

* A Canon FL 35mm F/2.5, wide-angle, lens that bears serial number:61670. Nice example of this very underrated old Canon prime lens in the FL mount. It is an excellent street and video lens on full-frame or crop sensors. Canon FL mounts are easily adaptable to mirrorless digital systems such as NEX, Nikon 1, Pentax Q, M43, Fujifilm FX, Samsung NX & Canon EOS-m. (Unless cited, adapters are NOT included). Comes with its original, Canon metal, slip-on front lens cap and a vintage, Canon breech-locking, rear lens cap and Canon black leather, hard, lens case "H" 58mm, front lens cap and vintage "Canon" BL (bayonet locking) Canon rear lens cap, a generic, 58mm Skylight filter and a nice, "Canon" size C, hard lens case. It shares the same "Canon" S-60 lens hood with the also included, Canon FL 50mm f1.4 lens (S-60 hood cited below).

*A Canon FL 50mm F/3.5 MACRO lens that bears serial number: 17913. It comes complete with: "Canon" front and rear lens caps, a "Canon Life Size Adapter", a dedicated, hard, black leather lens case with a separate compartment to store the Canon Life Size Adapter. The top is stamped: "Canon MACRO FL 50mm 1:3.5 ". The front element is deeply recessed thus, the use of a lens hood is unnecessary.
