For auction is a pair of antique J.A. Henkels Twin Works nickel plated steel poultry shears with sterling silver handles. Various measurements are pictured. They still open and close decently, still springs back ok. I’ve cut paper just to test them but have never used them for their intended purpose which is meat cutting. They seem like they would perform properly.

The Sterling stamped handles are not solid sterling all the way through, weighted sterling handles typically have a filling material similar to cement. Sterling handles usually contain around 1/2 ounce of silver each.

The entire set shows moderate to heavy signs of use, age and wear including minor dings and nickel finish loss resulting in some past and present sporadic rust. They could use a good cleaning as well. Despite all said it’s still an overall pretty decent piece! Well made and ready for another 100 years of use!
