You are looking at a true piece of history that is over 135+ years old, which means if this watch could talk, WOW. This is a working piece of history, that still keeps good time and is in great shape. This is a WALTHAM “P. S. BARTLETT” 18s, 15j, Model 1883, that indicates to be manufactured between Sept. 1888 - Feb. 1889. It’s a side winding, lever setting Pocket Watch with a white, single sunk Dial, black Roman numerals and a black minute track around the outer edge. The Dial has just a few faint hairlines, mainly between the 3&4. The hands are the nice blue color that are good and straight with no visible rust. The Crystal is also in very nice condition with only minimal marks from being used. The case is an Illinois “Spartan” Base Metal in a silver color finish. Both front and back screw on and off, and the back cover has one spot on the back that is more of an impression than a dent. The rest are just typical marks from being used over the years. The bow is still very tight and keeps its position. The watch winds and sets like designed and the movement still has a good motion to it. There is also a watch fob with a leather strap and a Caterpillar Fob on it with a dealerships info on the back. This is truly an amazing piece of history that really could be a great conversation piece and a great addition to your collection. I’m not a watch expert, repair guy or estate trader. I’m just someone who has always had a pocket watch since I was a kid and now I just have to many. I’m getting down to just a few styles that I like so I have several more to get listed. I’ve tried to be as detailed as I could and I apologize if I have used the wrong terminology or made a mistake. Please look at all the pictures and ask any questions you might have. These all SELL “AS IS” and I only ship in the United States🇺🇸. Thanks for looking and have a great day. Please keep checking back for more items. 🇺🇸
