Simple Set Up and Use

  1. Create an account on the Blink app
  2. Plug in, and sync module(gen 2), and connect to Wi-Fi
  3. Insert batteries and sync your camera

Local Storage

When a Sync Module 2 with USB drive is not part of a subscription, the USB drive stores Motion Clips from Outdoor, Indoor (gen 2) and Mini cameras. Live View sessions can only be saved with a Blink Subscription Plan. X2T, XT, and Indoor (gen1) cameras attached to a Sync Module 2 system do not have clips saved to the USB drive. These cameras continue to use their 7200 seconds per Sync Module of basic cloud storage.

Existing Account Storage

Accounts that were created before April 15, 2020 continue to have the original 7200 seconds per Sync Module of basic cloud storage. XT2, XT and Indoor (gen 1) cameras receive 7200 seconds of basic could storage per Sync Module, free for life. This is separate from a subscription plan. When one of these cameras is set up on a Sync Module 2, it is assigned 7200 seconds of basic cloud storage, to be used when a subscription is not active.
