Dinky Toys No.30E Breakdown Truck Tow Lorry Pre-War - Study Piece

A Dinky Toys pre-war breakdown truck comprising blue body with black mudguards and open rear window, smooth black hubs, original tow hook.
Bit of a study piece, it is suffering from "zinc pest" and though is not about to break into pieces it has lost metal from top edges of the bed on both sides, from the bonnet and from a door. My photos are my main tool for describing the truck being offered so please take a look - thank you.

Likely bidders will already know what follows but I include it for the benefit of those newer to Dinky collecting.

Sourced from Wikipedia -
Dinkys had acute problems on early models with zinc pest also known wrongly as metal fatigue. Some early castings have survived in numbers, while others are rare without some form of damage – such as the 28/2 Series vans. Zinc pest is caused by impure alloys in which corrosion happens between molecules causing cracking of the metal which would then crumble prematurely. This was much more common before the war and a main reason it is rare to find surviving toys in good condition from this period. Another theory is of factory detritus - lead from Hornby train and Dinky Toys production, ties from sacks and foil from cigarette packets, finding their way into the metal, corrupted it.
