This elegant and timeless collector’s vintage designer choker is from a former ambassador’s fascinating Long Island NY estate. The piece—which is not only signed but also numbered—as the well known mid-century French designer, Marcel Boucher did with his finest pieces—was found among a wonderful collection of vintage costume jewelry the family had acquired over the years (see photos). The necklace, which has been stored safely in a jewelry box, is in very good vintage condition. It is distinctive for its high-end period Mid Century styling and magnificent design—the necklace is segmented, so each piece slithers gracefully around the neck when worn or handled. Also special: its impeccable craftsmanship, for which this designer is known; its finely etched detailing, and its crisp design detail; along with its dimensional treatment of teeny turquoise accent costume stones (see photos). Along with its estate fresh condition, this piece appears as if it’s precious jewelry (see photos). The choker measures 16-5/8” long by about 5/8” deep.
