Stunning late 19th century Victorian cut crystal/glass oil lamp featuring oval and panel stem and base with a bulbous oil reservoir with gilt brass fittings that are stamped "Hinks & Son Patent". The burner features Hinks & Son's patented Duplex burner for two flat wicks as shown.  The two buttons are marked Best British Make F. Lamp measures 16 1/2" high to top of burner x 6 1/2" diameter oil reservoir x 12 3/4" high to top of reservoir. Lamp is in Exceptional condition, examined under a magnifier, free of any chips or cracks, it may have a few minor fleabites on edges but we do not feel any and we do not see any. It does have some minor scratching underneath the base, as shown. Does NOT come with shade or chimney. Chimney diameter is 2 3/8" diameter 

James Hinks & Son,  91-96 Great Hampton Street & 66 Hockley Street, Birmingham, were established before 1865 as James Hinks made many oil lamps and similar products. James and Joseph Hinks  patented the duplex burner and the extinguisher lever in 1865.
