This is a very unusual and hard to find toy called  Archie The Karnival Kid made by Ronson.

It is stamped "Archie A Ronson Toy"  Patented Dec. 31, 1918 on the handle. The last patent date listed is July 17, 1923.

The toy was made as a sparkling party toy (Carnivals, Circus, Halloween, etc.) and remains in very good condition with only minor wear. It sparks and works well.

Inside Archie is a mechanism which has 2 abrasive wheels that spin and cause the eyes to spark when the string is pulled.

The toy measures 9" tall x 5" wide x 2.75" deep. A really interesting and odd toy that does not come along often in this condition with all original parts.

Please see the photos for the details and feel free to ask questions.
