Product description of the Cambridge Audio Azur 550C:
As with all Cambridge Audio products, the 550C is based on three core principles: outstanding performance, ease of use and incredible value.
In their search for the highest sound quality, the Cambridge Audio developers have made many small improvements and improved circuits, components and layouts. A completely new S3 servo motor was developed for this model, which uses “double-sided surface-mount” technology for ultra-short signal paths and so digital information can be read with a very low loss rate.
A ring-shaped and low-noise transformer with lower waveform distortion is installed, which ensures quieter PSU operation.
The 550 C features a new housing design; the thicker, reinforced front, a more stable cover of the CD compartment and double-damped feet are particularly noticeable. All of these properties have a positive effect on the resonance behavior. Another technical highlight is the power-saving standby mode (<1 W). This will put the CD player into standby mode.
Visually in like new condition!
The remote control is still new and unused!
