NewPort R.I. 1848" the one piece back of irregular curl, the ribs and scroll similar, the top a medium grain, the varnish a golden-brown color, length of back 14 inches. There is a fine 3-inch-long crack to the left of the tailpiece and there is a dent in the bottom of the left bout. Comes in a hard case.
