Antique Mettlach V&B Stein #328 Drinking Scenes

This stein is fair condition. It has multiple small chips around the bottom rim, please see pictures. the pewter lid is slightly loose where it attaches to the handle. The insert in the lid is also a little loose.

This model number exists with six different central images including: 1) steins carrying drunken man; 2) man weighing steins and barrel; 3) two men drinking; 4) man in stein; 5) drunken king on barrel; and 6) drunken man on floor. Note also that coloration varies and that not all have a hops vine frieze around the base.

The standard �hat� lid inlay reads �Gru� Gott (God�s Greeting) No.� followed often by a hand-written number (see example below), but not all lids are found numbered. Other figural inlays exist and are more rare (add 25%).
