Beautiful wooden, I believe to be mahogany,  handmade money box, collection box. Gorgeous dove tail joints on each corner. Brass hinges (could do with a polish if you like shiny). Open/close latch is present on the body of the box but missing from the lid so doesn't lock. Four brass pilot holes in the base should you wish to screw it in place.

"Jim 1926" written on the inside lid of the box. I'm guessing Jim made the box.
