WHLO and WAKR were the legendary AM Top 40 stations for Akron Ohio back in the 60's. WHLO was almost a daytime-only station; they had to protect Clear Channel KFI in Los Angeles so could stay on until sunset in Los Angeles, which meant as late as about 11pm in the summer. This 640 Radio WHLO Silver Dollar Survey is from 10-15-65. On the rear is an ad for McCormick Brown Gravy Mix and Onion Gravy Mix. #1 song was Treat Her Right - Roy Head.
