Artisan Miniature Dollhouse IGMA John J. Hodgson ULTRA RARE ALL WOOD TABLE 1988
OOAK COMMISSIONED PIECE - MAHOGANY
This is a vintage, one-of-a-kind creation by the late IGMA artist, John J. Hodgson of England. Mr. Hodgson was known as one of the greatest miniaturists for over 40 years. It is signed in black on its underside, and dated 1988. Some of his very finest work having been made in the 1980s, this piece does not disappoint!
This is a Rectangular Shaped Dining Table. The wood work on this piece is exceptional, wonderful sculpting on legs and is solid mahogany. This is solid wood construction and this is very rare to find. Don't miss out of this piece because they do not come around often. This was purchased directly from Mr. Hodgson and picked up at his home in England and hand carried to the United States. It has weight. This was a commissioned piece and you won't find another. You can nicely fit 8 chairs around this table and it has weight.

This miniature came from a wonderful lifetime, STUNNING miniature collection, all collected by Mesha and Clifford of New York. This amazing collection of treasured pieces will take some time to list, but they are worth the wait. The 1980s through the 1990s were one of the most interesting time periods in the miniature market, so many artists making their debut...this collection was curated during this time by going to shows, writing the artists and boarding planes to retrieve their long awaited treasures. To have the opportunity to share this one of a kind collection is something miniature dreams are made of (for me)...rarely do I keep more than one item from each collection, but this one is the hardest of all to let even a single piece go, you will see what I mean shortly...enjoy them all as they are all one of a kind and made by some of the most wonderful miniature artisans in the world.
