Although the main manufacturing work for the JT series is carried out overseas, Headway's skilled craftsmen have made detailed adjustments to achieve high cost performance and improved playability.
This model uses spruce for the top and African mahogany for the sides and back.
The body shape is the so-called 000 shape, which is a classic folk style that combines newness and tradition.
The large waist and relatively thin body make it easy to hold, making it a popular model for those who prefer finger style.
In addition, the top material has been subjected to aging processing.
Aging is a special heat treatment applied to the wood that evaporates excess moisture and oil, giving it a rich, raw sound and a vintage-like tone that can be produced over time.
By performing this heat treatment, not only the sound but also the appearance changes to a bitter color that gives the impression that it has been used.
Acoustic guitars produce sound only when the top plate of the body vibrates.
The wood character of the body side and back material is added to this, and the amplified sound is output from the sound hole. No matter how good the material you use for the body sides and back, if the body top material is not good, the quality of the sound will deteriorate.
Therefore, in this model, the spruce material of the top of the body, which is the foundation of the acoustic guitar sound, has been given an aged finish to achieve a vintage-like and rich sound.
