I have here for sale a beautiful book entitled TRAVELS IN EGYPT AND NUBIA Vols I and II in one volume by Frederick Lewis Norden, Captain of the Danish Navy, translated from the Original and published by Command of His Majesty the King of Denmark.  Enlarged with Observations from Ancient and Modern Authors that have written on the Antiquities of Egypt by Dr Peter Templeman.  It is a first edition, finely bound, published in 1757 by Lockyer Davis and Charles Reymers.  It has 7 fold-out plates as follows:

Beautifully rebound in half calf leather on marbled hardboards.  Gilt lettering and 5 raised bands to the spine.  New cream endpapers.  Original title page has been relaid on cream paper. The last three pages have been repaired with Japanese paper.  The odd spot of foxing here and there and light offsetting from the plates but the large majority of the pages are clean.  Condition: boards mint, pages very good.  xl + 232 + 6 page publisher's catalogue.  22 x 14 cm.
