I have here for sale a book entitled KING ALFRED AND OTHERE. THE DISCOVERER OF THE NORTH CAPE by H W LONGFELLOW With Music by R HOBSON CARROLL Figured in Colors by Marcus Ward Illuminator to the Queen US Edition published by kind permission of Messrs J R Osgood & Co., undated, but online research indicates c.1872.  Issued as part of Marcus Ward's Royal Illuminated Legends series.  Longfellow's poem is here set to music by B Hobson Carroll and the book includes 6 full-page colour captioned plates.  

Illustrated paperback covers with black and mustard lettering on the front cover and Marcus Ward catalogue on the rear cover.  Marks on the covers.  Light foxing to pages.  All pages are firm and the book is in very good condition.  Unpaginated, but 18 pages.  29 x 19.5 cm.

Postage will be by Air Mail outside of UK.  If you buy more than one item then the postage cost falls for the second and further items as I will put them into one parcel - so you save money. We wrap and post the parcels on Monday and Tuesday - therefore if you pay before midday on Tuesday we will get it in the postal sacks on Tuesday night, and if it is after that time then it will go into the postal service on the following Monday.
