Unfortunately, I do not know a lot about this set - all of the information I know is included herein, but feel free to ask any questions that you may have - if it is something I can figure out and answer for you, I certainly will!

This is a silverware set that my father brought home to my mother from Vietnam after his service ended in the early 1970's.  That would have led me to believe that it was Vietnamese in origin; however, the handle of each piece includes the depiction of some kind of oriental "statue" (Budah?) with the word "SIAM" (according to Google, this translates to Thailand) stamped underneath (See second photo for close up detail).  There does not appear to be any kind of makers mark or other distinguishing mark on the silverware to shed light on its origin.  The box that it comes in is the original box that came with the silverware set - it is a very plain wooden box with green felt interior to hold the silverware pieces.  Set is made up of 8 knives (rather sharp), 8 forks, 8 spoons, and 5 serving pieces (Carving pair, Large Spoon, Large Fork, and Ice or Sugar Spoon).

To be clear, my father/family had very little money when my father would have purchased this as a gift for my mother - point being, I want to make sure it is clear that I am not representing this set as being made of any kind of precious metal - I believe it is brass/bronze based upon my research on the net.

To my knowledge, this set has never actually been used - instead, it sat for years on display in my mother's oriental themed living room shelf.
