This listing is for a vintage Selmer (Paris) Bb soprano clarinet. It is a "series 9" model. The serial number T9729 (matching on both main sections) indicates a c.1964 production date. This is a professional level instrument. It is made of grenadilla wood.

This instrument is in very good condition. There are no cracks, nor any evidence of past crack repairs. There are no chips to the tenons or tone hole chimneys. The wood is in excellent condition with a nice tight grain. The tenon and bell rings are not loose. The key work is all operating as it should. There is minimal wear to the plating. The pads are in good condition and a suction test reveals they are sealing properly. The corks are also in good shape. There is no 'wobbling' of the joints due to compressed corks. The instrument is nice and clean and plays easily from top to bottom in its current state. Of course you might want to have it adjusted to your personal taste, but most players will find it satisfactory as is.

This instrument comes in a nice replacement case. It is in very good condition as well. There is no damage, and minimal wear to the exterior. The inside is clean and odor free with minimal wear and tear.

There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included.
