This is an exciting sale/auction for a sustained run and nearly complete series of the critically acclaimed Killadelphia, including an uninterrupted run of the first 20 issues. This excellent supernatural crime noir story was a 2021 Eisner Award Nominee for Best New Series (Black Widow won). It’s written by HBO writer/producer Rodney Barnes (writer of numerous TV shows & films) & comic stud Jason Shawn Alexander. This series was optioned by Levantine Films & HBO, and is coming to a theatre near you soon. When that happens, these books will skyrocket even more!
Story: Done in crime horror noir style, the death of revered detective James Sangster Sr. brings his estranged son James Jr., a Baltimore street cop, back home to Philadelphia to bury him. Jr. discovers his father’s journal which details his last case where a series of mysterious murders possibly supernatural in nature and he follows the clues, which is a trip down a macabre rabbit hole filled with horror and mystery.

All issues from 2019-2020; each book individually bagged & boarded, many in mylites to give em a little extra protection and pop. It’s a fairly large lot so conditions vary slightly but nothing is beat up or under VF/VF+. Most are NM-/NM condition—just as you’d find them in the local comic shop on Wednesday. I ended up preordering these early on so most books never even touched a shelf. They were gently read once (or nonce) and put straight into safe storage.
