Alpinestars^® Tech-Air 3 - motorcycle airbag vest

Alpinestars' lightest autonomous airbag system, Tech-Air^® 3, is designed to be worn over or under the motorcycle jacket. It is the effective and practical choice for touring riders, city commuters and light off-road adventure riders. Alpinestars' crash detection algorithm was developed and refined based on millions of miles of driving and thousands of crashes, allowing the system to accurately estimate when the airbag will deploy before a collision or other dangerous situation such as a low-side or high-side crash must become.

If Tech Air^® 3 detects the beginning of an accident, the system inflates the protective airbag within 50 milliseconds. In the event of a direct collision of the motorcycle with another vehicle or an obstacle, this is Tech-Air^® 3 “First Impact*” system effective, meaning the system inflates before the vehicle or obstacle the motorcycle impacts is hit by the rider. The slim, self-contained system is equipped with a waterproof main chassis and waterproof ECU and electronics and can also be worn under a motorcycle jacket, including a Tech-Air^® Ready jacket from Alpinestars, or any leather or textile jacket, provided the jacket has enough space to allow the airbag to inflate. With Tech-Air® 3, ​​drivers can enjoy their daily commute even more knowing they are protected.

CHARACTERISTICS:

• Tech Air^® 3 is equipped with a diagonal zipper that completely covers the chest while hiding the internal airbag. The magnetic zipper is easy to use and provides a secure closure system for the airbag garment.
• An LED indicator on the front chest shows the operating status of the airbag. The LED display also includes a haptic warning signal that vibrates to confirm that the system is activated and alerts the driver when the battery is running low.
• The integrated back protector pocket on the back can accommodate additional passive back protection.
• Tech Air^® 3 contains Alpinestars' compact Generation Pro 2nd Electronic Control Unit (ECU), located in the ECU pocket on the upper back of the Tech-Air^® 3 inner vest is located.
• The Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) connection to the Tech-Air^® App allows the rider to monitor the system's operational and battery status and provides a detailed map of the motorcyclist's trips via MyRide.
• The upgradable system software is available via Tech-Air^® App accessible that allows drivers to quickly check the installed software version and apply the latest software updates if necessary.

• The gas pressure tanks can be replaced at selected Alpinestars dealers and certified Tech-Air service centers.
