All Natural/Organic Flake Soil For Beetle Rearing. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority. Shipping cost is flat 20 up to 4 containers before needing another box!

CHANGES as of 5/15/2024:
Because of rising costs of materials, I have made a minor change on how I ship the product in order to avoid raising prices at all on my end. The only change moving forward is that all flake will be shipped in plastic bags instead of the hard plastic cups. To be frank, I have shipped with plastic bags here and there depending on the order, but I will still be using said cups to measure so there will be no difference in the amount you get. Of note, my policy has always been that if I ship out late I will send extra flake. This is not going to change. I will also make an additional listing for a more bulk price by the gallon. I supply plenty of breeders on a different platform without major cuts being taken away but figure for those who want the purchase protection of this platform I will start to dabble in offering said bonuses.

NOT MADE FROM CHEAP FUEL PELLETS!!!!!! FUEL PELLETS ARE POTENTIALLY MADE OUT OF RECYCLED WOOD AND COULD BE CHEMICALLY TREATED. ALL INGREDIENTS ARE SOURCED FOR HUMAN FOOD USE AND THEREFORE IS OF UTMOST QUALITY!!! 100 HARDWOOD!!!!

ABSOLUTELY NO CHEAP GARDEN SOIL FILLERS! This is pure wood base with supplementation from organic bran and Certified organic food use additives. As some of you know, switching to new substrate can cause larval shock and sometimes death. To combat this, I elect to add 10% older substrate to combat this and it may contain frass. This is never above a minute amount, and certainly does not take significant volume. If you want to opt out of this and are used to proper substrate changes, message me and it will not be an issue for me to not do this extra step. If you do have other issues, message me immediately and I will gladly rectify it with proper evidence and discourse.

DO NOT FREEZE MY SUBSTRATE!!! The small amount of old substrate which includes frass is added for the sole purpose of offering beneficial bacteria from my larvae that have fed on this same substrate, which will help greatly in acclimating your larvae to eat the substrate efficiently. Most insects that eat a high cellulose diet like termites etc are highly dependent on gut flora microbiome to digest their food, and culture of beneficial bacteria is present in the very small amount of frass provided has the ideal microbiome spread to digest my soil. Freezing the substrate will greatly diminish this biodiversity. Moreover, my entire beetle substrate operation is done indoors despite the smell, so the only microfauna present in there are springtails and other harmless organisms including hypoaspis miles and soil nematodes(NOT parasitic). "Nuking" the substrate would provide almost no benefit and possibly endanger your larvae as all the dying microfauna would release a lot of nitrogenous wastes(ammonia)

32oz cup sold by VOLUME. Fully fermented and tested on various beetle species for very nice majors. Indoor fermented so not infested with earthworms. All ingredients used are either all natural or all organic where applicable. Suitable for isopods and other detrivores as well. Your flake may come in dry to which I recommend rehydrating for 8+ hours before using. The dry form can be stored without degradation for up to an year for easy storage.

Suitable for both dynastidae and lucanidae. Also useable for a variety of other scarabs as well as isopods. Exact same ingredient profile as lucanidae soil, just aged longer

Pictures include larvae raised strictly on my substrate. The larvae are not necessarily mine
