PLEASE NOTE: I will be away from Friday 23rd August until Monday 2nd September, with limited internet access. If you buy an item from me during this period, I will not be able to post it until I return, but I will do so as soon as possible after I get back. As I will have limited internet access, I'm really sorry but I will also not be able to respond to any messages whilst I am away.

I am selling my extremely rare signed edition of The Designers Republic TDR™ Brain Aided Design Exhibition Catalogue - the magazine is in excellent condition though shows shelf ware consistent with it's age (light rubbing, tanning to front/back cover/edges) - please refer to the photos for the condition. The interior pages are in fantastic condition. The book is crammed fulll of some of their best TDR™ artwork over 132 pages - work for Pop Will Eat Itself, Nine Inch Nails, Wip3out, the Mascot Series etc - unfortunately, I couldn't post photos of all of them as it shows such a great range of their work. Along with Emigre and Idea vs The Designers Republic, this is one of the most sought after items of their work and would make an excellent addition to any collection.

The book is 190 x 240cm, and comes from a smoke and pet free home. I'll carefully package and post the book by tracked/signed for mail as soon as possible after the listing ends. Sadly, I am unable to consider offers. I've included some background information about the Designers Republic and the book below.

Established in Sheffield in 1986 by Ian Anderson, The Designers Republic has grown from a cult design group into an internationally influential phenomenon. Famous for its subversive power and unique sense of humour, their work is one of the most distinctive bodies of graphic design on the global scene. Brain-aided Design[trademark] is the long-anticipated first compilation of their work past, present and future. The ultimate Designers Republic book, it spans early music industry graphics including sleeves and identity design for the Sheffield label Warp, through work for a diverse range of clients such as MTV, Adidas, Sony, JVC, Polygram and Swatch. In 1994 Emigre magazine devoted a whole issue to The Designers Republic which has now become a collector's item.

Brain Aided Design was a major TDR retrospective show at La Capella de l’Antic Hospital de la Santa Creu Gallery organized by SONAR /  Xavier Calvo, curated by TDR’s founder Ian Anderson and funded by Barcelona’s Junta de Govern de l’Institut de Cultura de Barcelona. This is the 136pp catalogue of the show which, at the time, was the most comprehensive published collection of TDR’s work to date, featuring scaled versions of the 2x1m vertical banners of remixed personal and commercial work which typified TDR shows up to and around the millennium. It also includes work exclusive to the show as well as the TDR Tokyoscape in full.
