Here's your chance to add an outstanding vintage card to your collection.

This is the 1957 Topps Roy McMillan card, featuring the Gold Glove winning, All Star shortstop in glorious color. The card is ungraded and does show its age. One can never anticipate what the mail-in card graders will say, but this would likely be graded very good or excellent. In any case, it's an attractive card from a landmark set.

The 1957 Topps baseball set consists of 407 cards, each measuring 2-1/2” by 3-1/2". In many ways the series revolutionized the hobby, as it marked the first year the company would use the now-standard measurement for cardboard collectibles. The 1957 Topps also switched to full color images (either bust portraits or in-action poses) in lieu of handpainted black-and-white photos on the front, with his name and team printed across the bottom, and statistical data on the reverse. The set is anchored by Ted Williams (#1), Roberto Clemente (#76), Mickey Mantle (#95) and Yogi Berra/Mickey Mantle (#407). Key rookies include Jim Bunning, Rocky Colavito, Don Drysdale, Whitey Herzog, Tony Kubek, Bill Mazeroski, Bobby Richardson, Brooks Robinson and Frank Robinson. Unlike similar Topps entries, the scarcities lie not in the high numbers but in the second of the set’s three series - #s 265-352 – and four unnumbered checklist cards printed with one of two different product advertisements on the back.
