This is a very old badge, now repurposed as a pendant necklace, but originally probably a hat badge for a German military uniform.
The eagle is beautifully depicted with detailed engraving, with a hand wrought stamp of 925 on the back of the wing. There is a small hole at the base of the pedestal that the eagle stands on, where it would have been attached to clothing. It is in beautiful condition for such an old piece, the technique used known as diamond engraving, because the silver catches the light when moved.
The chain is an old, signed and hallmarked box chain, 46 cms long. This is a small piece, 26mms long and 20mms wide.
The ring box pictured is not included in the sale but your purchase will be well packed for transit. I use recycled postage packaging, to minimize postage cost. As I live out of town there may be a delay of a few days before I am able to post. It will be as soon as I can.
