Here’s a near pristine perfect 1950s Gray St. Regis Stetson Homburg,  it’s an original HOMBURG. Size 7-1/4. We know the states size 7-1/8 but it was so close to a 7-1/4 that dad has stretched it to a perfect 7-1/4 now.

This is easily “hand bashed” into a pinched crown but So many folks have asked dad if he will steam a pinched crown (see last pictures to get an idea how it will look, that’s just pushed in so it will be steamed into the hat and the lines will be better defined once it’s steamed into the hat) into the hat? Dad will do that if you write to us after you buy the hat. If you look through dad’s other listings you will find a couple that he has already done that to, they are really beautiful. It’s just the classic, jet black color with a matching black grosgrain ribbon. It’s so very rare to find these BRAND NEW! 

As you can see the liner has a clear plastic overlay and the beautiful STETSON Lettering on it! Since there is a plastic overlay it’s easy to date to post 1950.

Please look at all the pictures of every angle! There’s nothing to hide!

The beaver is very very soft and thick. We compared it to dads own 1950s Stetson 3X,  Ten, Twenty and TwentyFive. The best fit was the Beaver Fifteen, it’s just very soft and thick.

You just don’t find these hats in such excellent condition anymore.

Note: the Stetson box is broken out on the bottom and one side is torn so dad says NO a box included. Just not worth the extra shipping.

We actually measure each hat 3 times to verify it’s size, tagged or not.

We did measure the hat though 3 times and this measures to a perfect size 7-1/8. It could easily be stretched a bit more since that leather sweatband is perfect! Maybe to a 7-1/4? Any inexpensive Hat Stretcher will work, even the $14 Amazon one. 

So this is perfect size 7-1/8 is 22-3/8 inches.

We use the 1970 Standard Hat Size Chart, which is what all the big manufacturers agree upon and is still in use today. These old vintage hats were very well made! And can easily be stretch ONE a size larger, that’s all though.
