Here for sale and offered with no reserve is a Daimler SP250 Dart passenger door latch finishing plate. This is an original Dart finishing plate removed from a car prior to refinishing and is in fair condition.

There is an unfortunate story to these parts - they all came from, or were destined for, my father's almost finished SP250 restoration project that was written off in a workshop fire just as the car neared the end of an 8 year, complete nut and bolt restoration.

With the car written off owing to extensive body and fire damage, my father bought another SP250 in running condition to fulfil his dream of owning a Daimler Dart. Fortunately these parts were not stored at the same location as the fire and survived. They were subsequently set aside in our storage as potential spares for the replacement car.

Time has passed and the majority of these components have been resting in our storage for over 20 years now. The SP250 that replaced the burnt car has itself been professionally restored since and my father has reluctantly accepted that his old days of tinkering with cars have ended. He now accepts that he is never going to find himself using any of the bits he's squirrelled away and we are consequently offering them all for sale for the benefit of other owners and to help get more Daimler Darts back on the road. 

Condition description:- Offered as pictured - in fair original condition. Chrome finish shows some aging, some modest damage around striker plate hole. Please view the detailed pictures for an accurate guide to condition.
