A charming 19th century fairground horse, this would have been attached to a ride, perhaps to a carousel, and is here displayed on a metal stand which has been designed as a rest, although the horse will lift off and stand on four legs without the support. It is a dappled grey with brightly painted saddle and reins, metal stirrups and a horsehair tail, a loop extending from the mane for attachment to the ride along with metal brackets on the underside and below the saddle on one side. This will make a lovely display for a collector, or a statement piece for an interior which demands something eclectic and fun.

Dating to the 19th century, this is made of pine and metal, and originates from England.

In good age related condition, there is a crack around the neck, but the head is stable and sturdy and there is no movement.
