All moving parts working.
Largely pressed and folded steel construction - Red Steel body and chassis. White plastic side panels, radiator grill, cab interior and moulded hose pipe and hose reels in the back. Clear windscreen and side windows. Black rubber tyres moulded with the 'Tonka' word logo twice on each with white hubs. The original small 'Tonka' red, white and yellow stickers are on each cab side - this sticker with the yellow lower half was in use in 1974-1975 only, 1973 and earlier the lower half was gold and 1976 onwards the logo became an all red background with white lettering.
The four white plastic side retaining lugs (two each side) that previously held the ladders in place, are usually missing having been broken off over the years, but all four are present and undamaged on this toy.
Both small white plastic ladders are missing, which is frequently the case with this model.
I believe this is an early 1970's toy but the earliest reference to this toy I can find is in the 1968 catalogue where it is described as 'No. 595-Tiny-Tonka PUMPER 5 13/16" long.
The metal chassis is pressed with the Tonka word logo.
Possibly made by Bandai in Japan.
