- It was
published by
the Roosevelt Highway Association, Des Moines, Iowa to promote travel
on "The Scenic Way From the Atlantic to the Pacific" via U.S. Route 6.

The cover panels show scenes along the highway in California, Colorado,
and Iowa.

Named after President Theodore Roosevelt, this cross-country route extended
from Boston to Los Angeles and it is one of our nation's historic named
highways.

The scans show both sides of the map opened up, along
with some of the detail, including a section of the road in western
Utah, marked as still under construction when this map was printed,
which identifies the
year of publication, as the date is not printed on the map.
