This 1930s-vintage alto saxophone mouthpiece is a rare find. Mouthpiece looks its age, but price reflects appearance, not playability. Rounded, vintage tone -- better, probably, with a vintage horn than newer. (Did not pair well with my contemporary alto, which is why I'm selling.)

The now-defunct Woodwind Co. made these pieces from  durable, lightweight "steel ebonite," a formulation of hard rubber. From what I understand, the *36 model was manufactured in 1936.
